Will the iPad Change the Face of Medical Imaging in Clinical Trials?

By the time my recent iPad clinical trials and applications blog post had come out on the potential uses of the iPad in the medical field, the FDA granted clearance for doctors to use the iPad for viewing medical images in clinical trials. Read the news on the new iPad medical imaging app here.

This is quite a breakthrough considering the product has been on the market less than one year. The iPad and other similar tablets are going to potentially change the way many of us work.

In clinical trials, I already know of one company working on an app for its use that may have a significant impact in the way a clinical trial study site operates. I am still waiting for more details, and as soon as these become available I’ll post the info and a link.

If you have any interesting iPad app information related to medical imaging, clinical trials or the use of tablets in medical practice, please comment below.
